In some occasions my mom loves to cook pork hamonado but I don’t really like it because it has a lot of fats. But when my mother cooked chicken hamonado for my nephew, it becomes my favorite actually. Hamonado has this sweet taste. I like sweet food with less fat. I want to share the recipe of my mother's Chicken hamonado.
Ingredients
1 tsp whole pepper
1 tbsp sugar
1 kg Chicken parts, cut up
1 can (500g) pineapple juice
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp ground pepper
2 carrots, cut into chunks
2 potatoes, cut into chunks
Procedures
1. In a large pot, combine all the ingredients (except carrots and potatoes). Marinate the chicken for 15 minutes or more.
2. Heat the pot in medium level. Cover the pot and bring to boil for about 15 minutes. Add the carrots and potatoes. Cover again and keep boiling for 10 minutes or until the chicken and vegetables are cooked.
3. Before you finish the cooking, make sure you taste the sauce first. If you're satisfied with the taste, you can turn off the heat and serve the food.
